My dog wont play fight with me?

First off hes a pitbull rottweiler Akita blue healer wired terrier mix hes 1 almost 2 I left for a couple months and he got fat and no one did anything with him im 14. Whenever I try to play with him he tucks his tail and drops what should i do?
