Don't you hate it when people say this?

"I take great pride in my work." It's kind of like saying "I'm better than you at my work and everyone else doesn't know how to work as good as me" or "I'm special and you're not." I actually believe that this kind of mentality is psychotic and people really need to get over their unnecessary obsession with egotism.
