How do I get my TV to get Sound to come out after having a Hauppauge plugged into it?

I just bought a hauppauge HD PVR and I have all the wires plugged into my laptop/(INSIGNIA - Brand) TV/XBOX 360 I have all the things working except my TV no longer produces sounds but my laptop does but with a 2 second delay how to i fix this
