How are humans really much different from animals in the wild?

All animals are different. In the developed world at least, our lives are a lot more complex and at the same time, rather more comfortable, than those of almost any other species. With our social institutions, we have organized labor, group projects that have created this vast manufactured world. And some of the basic needs...food and water...are sort of guaranteed for most people.
